In our anniversary year 2027, Ludwig van Beethoven will be the focus of our program as a musical revolutionary. His work not only represents the pinnacle of Viennese Classicism, but also the dawn of a new musical era—Romanticism. Listen to the first movement of Ludwig van Beethoven's Symphony No. 5 in C minor, Op. 67 – one of the most famous works in music history. Even the first four notes have achieved world fame: “TA-TA-TA-TAAA” – this concise four-note motif opens the symphony with overwhelming power and is one of the most impressive musical gestures ever. Beethoven's great role models, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Joseph Haydn, as well as his companion Franz Schubert, also feature in this exquisite program. Selected chamber music works by these masters unfold a musical arc that brings to life the fascinating development from Viennese Classicism to Early Romanticism.
Our gala concerts are also available as "Concert & Dinner", until 4 days before the concert takes place.
The concert hall Wallpavillon is located on the upper level of the Dresden Zwinger Palace. Please note that both - the concert hall and the toilets - have no disability access. The first three rows are reserved for guest in our VIP category. In this category there is included a voucher for a glass of sparkling wine or a drink of your choice in the intermission. Our gala concerts last about 90 minutes including a little break.
The concert hall opens 60 minutes before the start of the performance. The concert takes place indoors.
Seating in the hall is free. Every seat is occupied without a gap. We appreciate mutual consideration.
