When will the app be available for Android?
Yes. You can download the app for free whenever you like.
Is it free to download the app?
If you would like to buy the schloesserlandCARD via the app, you will have to create a profile with your name and email address.
Do I have to create a profile?
You will be redirected to the online store of our partner, Regiondo GmbH, to process the purchase of your schloesserlandCARD. You can pay via PayPal, credit card or Sofortueberweisung. Once you have completed your purchase, you will receive an email confirmation with a receipt.
How can I pay for the schloesserlandCARD?
We can also verify whether you have bought a schloesserlandCARD if you present your confirmation email to the cashier. Please let us know and we will fix the technical issue as quickly as possible.
Why does my schloesserlandCARD have a gray status in the app?
Your schloesserlandCARD is inactive and yet to be used. The status will remain gray until you check in for the first time. Once you have checked in for the first time, the card will turn yellow and the validity period will begin.
Can I buy more than one schloesserlandCARD with my profile?
You cannot purchase several cards via one profile, because each schloesserlandCARD is only valid for one specific person. If you would like to buy another schloesserlandCARD, you will have to create a separate profile.
How can I check in to a castle with my app?
The QR code for the castle, palace or garden is displayed on a sign in the checkout area. You can scan this using the app. If you successfully check in, your schloesserlandCARD will light up green. Show your green card to the cashier and away you go!
I can’t scan the QR code. What should I do?
Are you not able to scan the code? Is your card lighting up red? You can repeat the process by selecting »Check in again«. Alternatively, you can manually enter the six-digit code found directly above the QR code.
Do I have to use my real name in my profile?
Yes. When checking in for the first time, your profile name must match the name on your ID card. The schloesserlandCARD is only valid for one specific person. The cashier may ask you to present your ID card. Before checking in for the first time, you can change your profile name whenever you like. Once you have checked in for the first time, this will no longer be possible.
Do I have to carry my ID card when visiting an establishment?
Yes. The schloesserlandCARD is only valid for one specific person. Your profile name must therefore match the name on your ID card. The cashier may ask you to present your ID card.
My phone has no battery left. What can I do?
I’ve paid but the schloesserlandCARD is not displayed in the app.
You can ask the cashier for a free plug socket if you have your charger with you. If you are unable to charge your device, you can buy a physical schloesserlandCARD on site. You can then contact our customer service team to exchange your physical card for a digital card (firstname.lastname@example.org). If you have already bought a schloesserlandCARD, you can print out your receipt and show it to the cashier as proof of purchase.
