The first impression counts
Our employees on the museum desk are the first friendly and assertive point of contact for our guests.

How is the cash desk area organized? And what about the museum shop? Barbara Arnhold runs the museum shop at Nossen Castle and Altzella Monastery Park.

Perfect hostess for our visitors
She welcomes our guests at the museum desk, which means she’s our first point of contact for our visitors. Barbara Arnhold doesn’t get stressed when juggling her ticket sales with questions, storing backpacks or switching to English. Her ideas, experience and advice helped to redesign the cash desk area at Nossen Castle. The new reception area is not only more convenient for guests; it’s also a more comfortable workplace for our staff.

Job Profile – Visitor Service Manager: Planning for a smooth operation
As our Visitor Service Manager, Barbara Arnhold sells tickets, arranges goods in the museum shop, manages duty rosters, takes care of the bookkeeping and issues invoices. The new cash register system makes her work easier and helps her to organize rental services at the Altzella Monastery Park. The Monastery Park is a popular location for weddings, corporate events and family celebrations. Our team of nine full-time employees and seasonal workers collaborate with associations and partners to make sure everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
