Visitors cannot but fall in love with the charm of this castle to the south of Chemnitz which hardly anyone will want to call a ”castle“. This white Renaissance jewel is poised almost weightlessly above the waters of Wuerschnitz river which fills the castle moat. The unique sweeping ogee arch roof looks much too ornate and the picturesque view too friendly to appear splendid or even well-fortified.
