Schlettau Castle

Manor houset, abbot's residence, hunting lodge, cotton mill – Schlettau Castle is a very special experience, especially for families.

The varied uses of the small castle of the 14th century tally with its colorful interior full of nooks and crannies. Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque and Neo-Gothic merge as if by magic. Similar to a set of pictures, the herbal liquor cellar is next door to the dark dungeons, the Knights' Hall follows the room where the spinning machines ar operating, or a gallery of paintings of the Ore Mountains adjoins the Forest Room with its animal trophies.

Today, jousting events, monks' banquets and many a ghost night take place along the medieval corridors. So, it is no surprise that magical Schlettau Castle has been honored for being especially suitable for family outings.
