The Saxon State Palaces, Castles and Gardens (SBG) value the protection of your personal data highly. Hence we have taken technical and organisational precautions to make sure that the provisions on data protection are observed.

Legal Basis

With their website at www.schloesserland-sachsen.de, the Saxon State Palaces, Castles and Gardens offer a telecommunications service. Thus the portal is subject to the provisions of the German Telemedia Act (Telemediengesetz (TMG)). Moreover, the Act on the Protection of Informational Self-determination in the Free State of Saxony (Gesetz zum Schutz der informationellen Selbstbestimmung im Freistaat Sachsen (The Saxon Data Protection Act (Sächsisches Datenschutzgesetz – SächsDSG)) applies. 

When calling up and viewing www.schloesserland-sachsen.de, no personal data will be stored. We use the service of Google Analytics for statistical purposes. Thereby, complete IP addresses are not processes and they are saved in an abbreviated form only.

Entry of Personal Data

The use of our contact form, order forms and further online services requires entering personal data (name, address, e-mail) in order to enable us to provide the requested services. All personal data is recorded and saved for the respective purpose exclusively. It is in no case disclosed to any third parties.

Contact Form
For contacting us, a form is available for entering your name, first name, e-mail address as well as a message. Messages despatched via this contact form are not automatically encrypted. Without encryption, disclosure to third parties cannot be precluded.

Order Forms
In order to obtain information or material from the Saxon State Palaces, Castles and Gardens, the data required for delivery must be recorded. This data is gathered only for handling the respective order and is not forwarded to third parties. Personal data transmitted to SBG for an order is used as follows:

  • for internal statistical purposes
  • for optimising user friendliness (e.g., if you send us information or if you reply to questions relating to an order)
  • for marketing promotions (such as a newsletter) if you have agreed to this

Newsletter
A valid e-mail address must be provided in order to subscribe to the newsletter issued by the Saxon State Palaces, Castles and Gardens. Such address, along with the settings for the newsletter subscription, is saved in a database, which is the basis for providing such service. The e-mail address saved serves users to access it, modify their settings or terminate their subscription for the newsletter.
