From 2011 during winter time, visitors may indulge in the plot of one of the most beautiful fairytale films of all time. In 1972/73, this fairytale classic, which enchants all Germany during Christmas time every year, was shot on location of Moritzburg Castle.

The more than 250-year-old camellia is bearing up to 35,000 carmine blossoms.
Reach for the top! In the new permanent exhibition, visitors will experience, apart from its history of being used as a place of manufacture, the residential areas in the castle, its historical conversion and aspects of Saxon state history.
Newly discover the fortress, the place where in 1707 Johann Friedrich Boettger invented the European porcelain in his laboratory deeply underneath the Virgin’s Bastion.
